Andrew M. Strobusch

July 3, 1986 — December 22, 2025

Andy was born on July 3, 1986 in Cudahy Wisconsin. He was adopted by his living parents, Mary Ruth (Sheard) and Alan Dean Strobusch. He found peace on December 22, 2025 after a fierce battle with gastrointestinal adenocarcinoma.

Andy graduated from Waupaca High School in May of 2005. He went on to earn a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh. Andy completed his law enforcement academy training at Fox Valley Technical College. He went on to earn many specialized law enforcement certifications during his career, always striving to perform at an elite level.

Andy began his law enforcement career with the Waupaca County Sheriff's Office in June of 2009, serving as a reserve deputy. He was sworn in for his first full time law enforcement job in October of 2012 at the Langlade County Sheriff's Office. Andy swore an oath to protect the citizens of Waushara County in 2016, eventually earning his current rank as a Detective Sergeant. He was very proud of the work he did and took his obligation to the community to heart.

Andy married Gina Eisentraut on September 30, 2017, embracing her daughters Mallory and Olivia as his own. He became a steady source of love, guidance, and encouragement to them. Andy and Gina joyfully welcomed their daughter Sawyer Adele to the world in April of 2023. He showed Sawyer unconditional love and devotion. An extraordinary family man, he built a life rooted in love, responsibility, and quiet strength.

Many remember Andy as an elite all-state high school football player, but his true sport of passion was hockey. An avid Bolts fan, he attended many Tampa Bay Lightning games at Amalie Arena with his family. Watching the Bolts games on TV, and analyzing their performance with Bryan via phone, was a regular occurrence. Coaching Mallory's hockey team was a source of connection; one he articulated was very rewarding.

From the third Saturday in September to the end of November, his time was reserved for setting and reviewing cameras, preparing stands, and trying to surprise the identified target bucks. He also took the show on the road mule deer hunting in Nebraska and hunting black bears in northern Ontario.

Fishing trips with the Rhone family to Timberwolf Lodge, and with the legendary Karpinski group to Lake of the Woods were some of the highlights of year. During these trips, teaching Pat and Joe McClone how to fish was one of his favorite pastimes. Mallory joined him on a special fishing trip last summer, along with Mike and Tangie Karpinski which he was so thankful for.

Making maple syrup became a family tradition when Andy was twelve. "Maple Ridge Farm" maple syrup became a labor of love for Andy, he also taught Mallory, Olivia, Sawyer, Nash and Knox. He also loved doing campfires at the cabin and grilling out with friends and family.

The most magnetic part of Andy was his personality. He always had a quick-witted response or a joke to keep everyone on their toes. He enjoyed solving the world's problems at the Truckstop with Aaron and Steve. His generosity and a commitment to righting wrongs were a frequent focus for him. Andy was stubborn. When he dug his feet in, you could not change his mind. Those close to him knew another side of him, one that most were not offered. Andy was one of the most loving, kind, soft hearted men you could meet and he showed that side to his children every day. "Uncle Andy" was essentially a folk hero to his nephews, Nash and Knox who loved him beyond measure and enjoyed all his visits.

Olivia enjoys showing livestock, Andy enjoyed pretending to be a cowboy with his brown Stetson hat and Frye harness boots alongside her. Andy also enjoyed hunting deer with Olivia who he bragged about her ability to sit still and be quiet.

Andy and daughter Sawyer were the ultimate pair. Their personalities eerily similar. Andy adored her and spent as much time with her as he could. Andy loved taking Sawyer to swim at Bear Lake, and listen to the country music bands play. Sawyer could be found dancing with strangers in her cowgirl attire under the watchful eye of Andy who protected her fiercely. If anyone asks her "what does daddy do?" she will proudly reply "Daddy keeps me safe".

The relationship he had with his twin brother Bryan was one of a kind. They shared their entire 39 years of life. They were inseparable. They talked everyday about their shared line of work, hobbies, and families. They did everything together and got a long most of the time. Andy was a trusted friend, a mentor, and a confidant to Bryan, and Bryan reciprocated that for Andy.

Andy will be dearly missed by his wife, Gina Strobusch, his children Sawyer Adele Strobusch, Mallory Loehrke, and Olivia Loehrke; his twin brother Bryan George Strobusch (fiancé Gabrielle) and their children Nash Andrew Strobusch and Knox Alan Strobusch; his brother Matthew Alan Strobusch; his step brothers Erik Bakken (partner Rachel) and Kyle Bakken; his parents Mary Sheard (Leonard) and Alan Strobusch (Tammy).

A visitation will be held at the Dahlke Life Celebration Center in Weyauwega on Friday, January 2nd, 2026, from 4pm to 7pm.
