Arlene Mae Zemple (age 82), beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was called home to be with Jesus May 9th, 2014. She was born April 1st, 1932, in the Township of Larrabee, Clintonville, WI, daughter of Albert and Adela (Essmann) Schroeder. She was baptized, confirmed, and married at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville, WI. She also attended St. Martin Lutheran School. On September 11th, 1954, she married Robert Zemple, Jr. She and Bob had a farm in the Township of Little Wolf. They also had an insurance business, Zemple Insurance Agency, and she assisted Bob in the office. As her grandchildren were growing up, she attended most of their soccer games. For many years she and Bob went to Branson as they both enjoyed country music. She presently enjoyed playing cards at the senior center and going to watch the Packers play at her son Jim's house. In November 1996, they moved from the farm to the city of Manawa. She is survived by 2 children, James Zemple (Gloria), Manawa, and Robert Zemple III (Cindy), Black Creek, WI; 3 grandchildren (Robert and Cindy), Robert Zemple IV (Sarah), Rebekah Jones (Kyle), and Benjamin Zemple (Alex); 3 great-grandchildren, Robert Zemple V and Heidi (Robert and Sarah), and Brynnlee (Benjamin and Alex); a brother Clarence (Diann) Schroeder, Clintonville and nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband on December 16th, 2006, her parents, a brother Melvin, her in-laws, Robert Sr. and Leola Zemple, a sister and brother-in-law, Marian and William Schuessler. Funeral services for Arlene will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, May 16, 2014, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Manawa. Visitation will be 9:00 am until the time of the service. Interment will be held following the service at Little Wolf Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Paul Lutheran window fund and the glioblastoma research fund.
