Arlene R. Hallman

April 17, 1948 — March 15, 2007

Age 58, of Waupaca, met the Lord on Thursday, March 15, 2007 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on April 17, 1948, daughter of Louie & Helen (Kienert) Schoohs, and grew up in Lind Center. Arlene married Arthur Hallman on January 11, 1969. She graduated from UW Stevens Point with a degree in Elementary Education. Arlene and Art founded Spring Creek Dairy Farm in Weyauwega in 1980. Arlene was a director for the Manitowoc Milk Producers and also Ellington Mutual Insurance. She was always proud to add the woman's touch. She served as president of the Lynwood Ladies Club, and was also a member of the American Legion Auxilliary unit 0176 and Waupaca County HCE. She loved spending time with her family and many good friends. She enjoyed gardening, reading, traveling, going to the county fair and motorcycle trips. Arlene was a faithful member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Weyauwega. She is survived by her dear husband Art; and was a devoted mother to her six children: Alice (Gordon) Peterson, Scandinavia; Amy (Gary Wayne) Wiegel, LaCrosse; Angel (Jim) Drozd, Symco; Artie (Sherry) Hallman, Weyauwega; Amber (Chad) Curtis, Weyauwega; April Hallman and her special friend Adam, Appleton. She will be greatly missed by her eight grandchildren: Sara, Samantha, Steven, Tyler, Rudy, Reed, Jonah and Evy; two great-grandchildren: Jimmy and Adalia; her mother: Helen Schoohs; a brother: Carl Schoohs, and her faithful canine companion Spike. She was preceded in death by her father Louie Schoohs. The Christian Funeral for Arlene will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Weyauwega with Rev. Dennis Lemke and Rev. Robbin Robbert officiating. Burial will be in Lind Center Cemetery, Town of Lind Center. Friends may call at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Weyauwega on Monday, March 19, 2007 from 3-8 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
