Arnold L. Starcheska

June 7, 1918 — September 8, 2007

Age 89, of Manawa, died at Appleton Medical Center on Saturday, September 8, 2007. He was born on June 7, 1918 in the Town of Deer Creek, Outagamie County, the fourth child of the late Max & Eva (Delo) Starcheska. He lived and worked on the family farm. He attended Fountain Creek Grade School and Clintonville High School. On August 30, 1941 he married Nellie McRann at the United Methodist Church in Bear Creek. In 1951, they moved to Manawa. He retired in 1980. He was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Manawa. Arnie loved to hunt, fish, travel and garden. He is survived by his wife Nellie of 66 years; a brother: Gene (Beulah) Starcheska, Manawa; a sister-in-law: Lillie Starcheske, Manawa. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin and Norman (Pete) and a sister Dorothy Henning. The funeral service for Arnie will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Manawa with Rev. Dale W. Eggert officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Symco. Friends may call at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
