Belva M Dailey

June 26, 1926 — March 31, 2011

Age 84, of Manawa, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca. She was born on June 26, 1926 in the Town of Belmont, Portage County, daughter of the late Forrest and Eliza (Wolcott) Rice. Belva was orphaned at 18 months of age and was raised in the Manawa area by her aunt and uncle, the late Lincoln and Stella Ritchie. On October 28, 1944, she married Lester E. Dailey. He preceded her in death in 1998. Belva enjoyed puzzles, crosswords and reading. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a life-long member of the Manawa United Methodist Church. She is survived by her children: Ronald Dailey, Manawa; Betty Miller, Manawa; Lynette (William) Hokenstad, Ogdensburg; grandchildren: Chris Dailey, Jodi Dailey, Clay Dailey and friend Stacy, Rhonda (Don) Miller, Michael (Karen) Miller, Cody Miller, Eric and Craig Hokenstad, Kara Miller; great-grandchildren: Amanda, Courtney, Miranda, Ryan, Seth, Josh, Kiersten, Travis and Tabatha, Teagan and Landon; sister: Theda Thomas, Fond du Lac; sister-in-law Evelyn Dain, Hoopston, Il. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Her parents, husband, aunt and uncle Lincoln and Stella Ritchie, sister Alta, a brother Allen Rice, grandson Corey Miller and special friend Don Clumpner preceded her in death. The funeral for Belva will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Manawa United Methodist Church with Rev Dale Eggert officiating. Burial will be in Little Wolf Cemetery in the Town of Little Wolf. Friends may call at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa on Monday, April 4, 2011 from 4-7 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
