Betty Ann Bonikowske, age 90, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. She was born July 16, 1936 in New London, WI, daughter of the late Ferdinand and Esther Rast. Betty grew up with Ervin and Lucille Mazemke (her Guardians) who had 3 sons: Vernon (Joann), Marvin (Carole), and Vilas (Connie). She graduated from Manawa High School. On April 7, 1956, she married her sweetheart, Roger R. Bonikowske, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa and they recently celebrated 70 years of marriage.

They resided on Roger's family farm in the township of St. Lawrence. There, they raised their 5 children: Richard (Lana), Randal (Cary), Russell (Lisa), Rebecca Neuville (Jeff), Ron (deceased); 8 grandchildren: Sara Buchholz, Jason Bonikowske, Krista Talstein, Ryan Bonikowske, Nathan Bonikowske, Nicholas Bonikowske, Alyssa Mortenson, Spencer Erickson; and 14 great grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, half sister, and son, Ronald Elmer Bonikowske.

In 1993 Roger and Betty retired from dairy farming and built Betty's dream home in Manawa, WI. Betty was very active with her church and volunteered at St. Paul Lutheran in many roles including secretary, ladies aide, quilting, and counting monetary Sunday offerings.

A funeral service to celebrate Betty's life will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Manawa, WI, at 11:30 a.m. with visitation at 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Pastor Nathan Reichle will be officiating. In lieu of plants and flowers, please direct memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church and School.
