Carol Lee Radtke, age 79, of New London, entered her heavenly home on Sunday, August 23, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Orland "Ozzie" Radtke, who preceded her in death nearly one year ago.

Carol was born on August 17, 1947, in New London, the daughter of the late Andrew J. and Lacy Mae (Shepherd) Wegner. She grew up in the New London area alongside her brothers and sister, forming deep roots in the community she called home throughout her life.

On March 5, 1968, Carol was united in marriage to the love of her life, Ozzie Radtke. Together, they shared 57 wonderful years of marriage, building a life rooted in faith, family, and mutual support. A faithful, longtime member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London, Carol lived out her values daily. Professionally, she proudly served her community as the Director of Public Works for the City of New London, earning the deep respect of her colleagues and residents through her hard work, leadership, and dedication.

Above all, Carol cherished her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was her greatest pride and joy, and she loved nothing more than gathering together and sharing in every milestone of their lives. Her continuous care, kindness, and devotion to her family, friends, and community will be remembered by all who knew her.

Carol is survived by her loving children: Brian Radtke and Rachael (Todd) Yerges; grandchildren: Moriah (Marcel) Maculan, Ethan Yerges, Cade Yerges, Eva Radtke, and Aidan Radtke; great-grandchildren: Dinah and Titus Maculan; her siblings: Mike Wegner, Terry (Lois) Wegner, and Susie (Larry) Laha; her sister-in-law and best friend, Gloria (Joe) Swedesky; her in-laws: Patricia Leupold, Walter Radtke, Natalie Lubinski, and Mona Radtke; special thanks to her niece Crystal Buss, for always being there with a helping hand; special neighbors and dear friends, Todd and Monica Koeller; as well as many special nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

She was welcomed into heaven by her husband, Ozzie; her parents, Andrew J. and Lacy Mae Wegner; her paternal grandparents, Samuel Andrew and Catherine (Hilbert) Wegner; her maternal grandparents, Osha Lee and Lula Mae Shepherd; her brothers, Dale Wegner and Pat Wegner; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Wegner and Sheryl Wegner; as well as Ozzie's family members: Russell (Maxine) Radtke, Richard Radtke, Marilyn "Mitzie" Radtke, and brothers-in-law, Dave Lubinski and LaVern Leupold.

The Christian Funeral for Carol will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. at the Dahlke Life Celebration Center in Weyauwega with Rev. William Heiges officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega. A visitation will be held at the Celebration Center on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
