Craig Clarence Dain, age 67 of Manawa, passed away at the Manawa Community Nursing Center after a battle with ALS. He was born on December 27, 1957, to Kenneth and Jean (Behnke) Dain of Ogdensburg.
Craig attended Little Wolf High School in Manawa and graduated in 1976. After graduation Craig joined the National Guards where he guarded the prison in 1977. Craig worked at Mill-Craft and ended his working years at Steel King in New London, then went on to school for architecture.
During his free time, he enjoyed playing solitaire, hunting, fishing, spending time with family and grandchildren; they were his pride and joy. "I love you more than you will ever know" was dad's favorite response to everyone. Craig loved playing Rummikub, sheepshead and cribbage with anyone and everyone.
Craig is survived by his children: Dennis Dain, Monica (Dave) Brooks, Nicholas (Jenna) Dain, Matthew (special friend Jessica) Dain; brothers and sister: Stanley (Cencio) Dain, Tom (girlfriend Wanda) Dain, David (Jane) Dain, Wanda (Leroy) Kuhnke; sister-in-law, Bonnie Dain. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and 3 great granddaughters. - Grandpa loves you all very much, you were his everything.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nancy (Jim) Flynn; brothers: Kenny (Sue) Dain Jr, Gary (Bonnie) Dain, and an infant brother, Rex Dain.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Craig's life will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025 at 4:00pm at First Lutheran Church in Ogdensburg with Rev. Mary Bope officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held prior to the service from 2:00 - 3:45pm. Burial will be in Park Cemetery, Ogdensburg. The family invites everyone back to the church after the burial for a dinner to continue celebrating Craig.
