Daniel D. Kempf Age 54 of Manawa, died unexpectedly at his residence Thursday, November 14, 2013. Dan was born on April 17, 1959, in Iola, Wisconsin, the son of Hilbert and Helen (Schmoll) Kempf. He graduated from Little Wolf High School in 1977 and in 1982 married Tammy Fahser at Trinity Lutheran Church, Waupaca, Wisconsin. Dan farmed from that time until the family sold the farm in 1994. He continued his working career at Waupaca Foundry until 2007, and then farmed again until 2012. Dan had many interests, hobbies, and pass times. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, farming, camping, football, bowling, and canning hot salsa. Most of all, he had a passion for spending time with his granddaughters, family, friends, and animals. Dan is survived by his wife, Tammy; children, Katie (Andrew) Mortenson, Holly (Ryan) Marquardt, and Rod Kempf; granddaughters, Amelia and Emily Mortenson, and Ella Marquardt. Dan is further survived by a sister, Marlene (Philip) Aggen; nieces, as well as many other relatives and friends. Dan is preceded in death by his parents. A funeral service for Dan will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 18, 2013, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Symco (N7534 Church St., Manawa) with Rev. Jeffrey Smiles officiating. Family and friends may gather at Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home, Manawa, Sunday, November 17, 2013, from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. and again directly at church Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Little Wolf Cemetery, Town of Little Wolf. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
