David Paul Bonikowske

August 16, 1932 — March 8, 2014

David Paul Bonikowske, born August 16th, 1932, son of the late Elmer & Clara, went quietly home to be with the Lord with his family beside him on March 8th, 2014. David, an avid deer hunter & fisherman, farmed until 1977, then became a wonderful salesman with John Deere Equipment until his stroke in 2008. He was passionately involved in the church, a Waupaca County Deputy, active member of the Thresherman's Club & Snowmobile Club. David celebrated 60 years of marriage to Margaret Moericke. They settled in Ogdensburg where they raised their children: Steve (Royalton), Kathryn Racine-Kinchen (Atlanta),Tim (Manawa), Patti (Craig)Hevner (Colorado), Beth (Tim)Voss (Ogdensburg). Proud Grandpa to 12 & Greatgrampa to 17; siblings: Bob (Eloyious), Roger (Betty), both of Manawa; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Ann Bonikowske , Manawa; Roy (Luella) Moericke, Big Falls; Jeanette Schmidt, Florida; Marlene Moericke, Scandinavia. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Lucile(Ben) Ferg, Jeanette (Marvin) Hein , brothers Vilas & Melvin, and brothers-in-law Roy Schmidt and Donald Moericke. The funeral service for David will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa with Rev. Vilas Mazemke officiating. A visitation for David will be held on Tuesday (TODAY), March 11, 2014 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.at Cline- Hanson- Dahlke Funeral home in Manawa and on Wednesday at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
