Donald B. Dittmann

Donald Benjamin Dittmann, age 81, of Pine River, went to his heavenly home on Monday, December 23, 2013, at the Weyauwega Health Care Center. He was born on December 24, 1931, in Pine River, Waushara County, son of the late Benjamin and Severna (Oestrich) Dittmann. He was baptized into life with Christ on December 27, 1931. On February 28, 1954, he was united in marriage to Virginia Hathaway at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Poy Sippi. He farmed all his life in Waushara County. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing cards. He was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church in Poy Sippi.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Virginia; children: Robert (Lorraine) Dittmann, Marion; Mary (Bruce) Robbins, Marion, Indiana; Joyce Dittmann, West Bend; Larry Dittmann and special friend Mary Barrows, Northport; Donna (Tony) Marinack, Almond; Darrell (Jill) Dittmann, New London; Sandy (Frank) Holzman, Wild Rose; Jane (Paul) Fink, Pine River; 20 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and a cousin Laverne Utecht, Fremont. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by twin daughters Joanne and Diane Dittmann and also a daughter Jean Dittmann.

The funeral service for Donald will be held on Friday, December 27, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Emmaus Lutheran Church (W2185 County H) in Poy Sippi with Rev. Mark Meier officiating. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery in West Bloomfield. A visitation for Donald will be held at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Weyauwega on Thursday, December 26, 2013, from 4-7 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Emmaus Lutheran Church. We look forward to seeing Don with Jesus Christ in the resurrection.
