Dorothy E. Erickson

April 10, 1930 — January 14, 2014

April 10, 1930 - January 14, 2014 Dorothy Erickson, 83, embarked on her journey into eternal life in absolute peace to join the loved ones who preceded her, most importantly, her beloved husband Everett "Roger" Erickson who will certainly greet her with open arms. Dorothy was born on April 10, 1930, in Tigerton, WI, daughter of the late Oscar and Martha (Polley) Johnson. She graduated from Tigerton High School. Dorothy and Everett were united in marriage on June 20, 1953. She will be greatly missed but remembered with love by her daughters, Debra Martin and son-in-law, Ronald Martin, Sandra Erickson, and Judith Erickson. She is also survived by her sister Shirley Kutchenriter, brother Bill Johnson, brother Louis Johnson and wife Barbara, in-laws Esther Johnson, Vivian & Bob Waters, Carol & Bob Lashua and many loving nieces, nephews. The family would like to thank her special friend and aide of the last five years, Sheila Webster for her loving care as well as her New York City friends. Dorothy will be remembered for her selflessness, quiet courage and devotion to God, family and friends. The Christian Funeral for Dorothy will be held at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Weyauwega, Wisconsin on Monday, January 20, 2014, at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Dennis Lemke and Rev. Newlin Schafer officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Tigerton in the spring. A visitation for Dorothy will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2014, at Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home, Weyauwega from 2-5 p.m. and also at the church on Monday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dorothy's favorite charity, Stockings with Care at www.stockingswithcare.com. Also, because Dorothy was the recipient of several blood transfusions, her family would like to encourage all who can to donate blood in her memory.
