Douglas Robert Duxbury, age 53, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. Doug was born on August 25, 1972, to Robert and Joan Duxbury. As the middle child of three, he spent his childhood in Mosinee alongside his siblings and close friends, making lifelong memories and enjoying endless adventures together.

Doug was an excellent athlete with a lifelong love of sports, especially hockey. He graduated from Mosinee High School in 1991. Doug, above all else, loved deeply. He loved nature, believing that a day spent fishing, hunting, or simply being outdoors was a day well spent. He was a friend to people and animals alike, extending his respect and care to his beloved pets and the wild animals he encountered.

Doug loved his family, taking great pride in his nieces and nephews. He valued friendship deeply and loved sharing stories, laughter, and memories-both old and new-with those closest to him. While life was not always easy for Doug, he lived with passion, resilience, and a love for Jesus that carried him through life's challenges.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Duxbury, and his stepfather, Norbert Dupuis.

Doug is lovingly survived by his mother, Joan (Duxbury) Dupuis; his sister, Nancy (Mike) Reard; his brother, Kurt (Anna) Duxbury; and his beloved nieces and nephews: Emilie (Dalton) Mouritsen, Anna Reard, and Luke, Noah, Kate, and Levi Duxbury; stepbrothers: Dan (Barb) Dupuis and Timm (Lisa) Dupuis; stepsisters: Diane (Jeff) Feyen and Suzanne Nolen. He is also survived by a large circle of extended family, dear friends, and countless others whose lives were touched by his kindness, humor, and generous spirit.

A private family graveside service will be held at the Mosinee Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorials be made to a charity of your choice in Doug's honor.
