Edna V. Klemm

Age 92, of Manawa went to be with her Lord peacefully at her home July 31, 2008. She was born to the late Otto and Amelia (Abraham) Prellwitz October 1, 1915 in the Township of Bear Creek. Edna was baptized and confirmed at Christus Lutheran Church, Clintonville. She attended Marble School in the Township of Union. On July 10, 1936 she was united in marriage to Erwin "Casey" L. Klemm. The Lord blessed their union with six children: Barbara (Gene) Forsythe, William (Harriett) Klemm, Sherry (Dan) Pomeroy, Cindy (Mark) Levezow, all of Manawa, Roland (Jan) Klemm, VanDyne; the late Pastor Keith Klemm of Iowa; Kathy (Ken) Mortensen, Ventura, Iowa; 30 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Arvila Passahl and Merva Graichen; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Erwin, son Pastor Keith Klemm, grandchildren Robbie and Tammy Warner, Kevin L. Klemm, Matthew Adam Klemm, David Gene Forsythe; great grandchildren: Nicholas and Amy Forsythe, 3 sisters: Leona, Lorene and Ruth; 4 brothers: Ruben, Norman, Martin and Robert. Edna was Employed at the family restaurant in Bear Creek, owned and operated the Manawa Drive Inn and worked at the Hortonville Toy Factory. Edna enjoyed having family gatherings, dancing, and her church family. She was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church serving as superintendant and teacher of Sunday School. She was a member of the Altar Guild, Couples Club and WELCA. The funeral service for Edna will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday August 4, 2008 at Zion Lutheran Church in Manawa with Pastor Blaine Niskanen officiating. Edna will rest beside her husband and among loved ones at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Manawa. Friends may call at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa from 4:30 p.m. till 7:30 p.m. Sunday and at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
