Edward L. Kraft

Edward L. Kraft Age 90 of King Veterans Home died peacefully on May 4, 2012. He was born to Adam and Rose (nee Brown) Kraft on August 19, 1921, in Ojibwa, WI, the third of five children. On November 14, 1942, Ed married Georgia Mae Rogers. In May 1943 Ed was drafted into the US Army and spent the next three years in England, France, and Belgium. Ed is survived by his sisters, Rose Ann Buck and Gladys Beers; daughter, Sharon Koenigs; son, Don (Debra) Kraft; grandchildren, Jon Kraft, Connie (Shawn) Blaschko, Karen (Brent) Joecks, and Elizabeth (Dan) Heller; great granddaughters, Victoria and Lacy; step-grandsons, Stephen, Daniel, and Thomas Koenigs; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Georgia; brother, Richard; sister Edna; nieces, Pat and Anne; and step-granddaughter, Karen O'Rourke. The funeral service for Ed will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church, 200 S. Pine St., Weyauwega, with Pastor Nelson Craig officiating. Family and friends may call directly at church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. The family thanks Wisconsin Veterans Home at King and the staff who cared for Ed.
