Elaine Dorothy Klug

Age 86, died on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at the Weyauwega Health Care Center. She was born on August 25, 1920 in New London, daughter of the late Oscar & Elvira (Fisher) Haight. On June 4, 1949, she married Gordon Klug in Royalton. He preceded her in death on October 13, 2006. Elaine graduated from Little Wolf High School in Manawa and also the Wisconsin Rapids Normal School. She taught school at Galilee, Hobart and Northport, and was a substitute teacher in the Weyauwega-Fremont School District. Elaine has resided in Weyauwega since her marriage. She was employed at Baehnman's Grocery in Weyauwega for over 25 years. She was a member of St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega. She also volunteered at the Weyauwega Health Care Center for several years. She was a member of the Hobart Domestic Club. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and caring for her special pet dog Molly. She is survived by 2 daughters: Linda Klug, Weyauwega; Mary Ann (Greg) Oehlke, Fremont; her grandchildren: Graham Klug, Weyauwega; Tanner Oehlke and Miranda Oehlke, of Fremont; Brieanne Oehlke, St. Norbert College in DePere; 2 sisters-in-law: Bernice Klug, Waupaca; Ramona Haight, Manawa; a special friend, Evelyn Jonely, Waupaca. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Gordon, and two brothers: Jim and Harold Haight.. The Christian Funeral for Elaine will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega with Rev. Robbin Robbert and Rev. Dennis Lemke officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Weyauwega. Friends may call at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Weyauwega from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday and at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
