Elisabeth Remsburg McCarville (Betty) The stars sparkled in the sky as Elisabeth Pearl McCarville peacefully passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2011. Betty was born on August 29, 1933 in Everett, WA, the daughter of George and Margaret Remsburg. She married Dick McCarville on April 17, 1951. Together, they raised a family on their "ranch" on Spring Lane, north of Manawa. She is survived by her children: Kathleen (Clarence) Murphy, Iola, Robert, Iola, Richard, Appleton, Janet Beardsley (Rocky Fox), Manawa, Terese, Manawa, Francis (Mary), Iola, Patricia, Neenah, Sharon (Jenny Hunt), South Milwaukee, and Angela (Ernie) Bartlett, Rachdrum, ID. She also lives in the hearts of her sister, Ida (Harvey) Jansen, Onalaska, WA and nine sisters-in-law and six brothers-in-law, along with 24 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Richard, twin daughters, Karen and Lois, two brothers Lee and Alvin Remsburg, one sister, Virginia, and sisters-in-law, Rosemary and Bonnie McCarville and brothers-in-law Harold Bluhm and Don Roskopf. once a snowflake fell on her brow and she loved it so much and she kissed it and it was happy and called its sisters and brothers and a web of snow engulfed her then she reached to love them all and she squeezed them and they became a spring rain and she stood perfectly still and was a flower written by Nikki Giovanni The family would like to thank the ThedaCare at Home hospice nurses for their guidance and support during her final days. A celebration of Betty's life will be held at a later date.
