Elmer Arthur Oehlke

Age 89, of Weyauwega passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at the Weyauwega Health Care Center. He was born on September 8, 1921 in Saxeville, Waushara County, son of the late William and Anna (Dittman) Oehlke. On June 20, 1943, he was united in marriage to Florence Fenske. Elmer lived on a farm in Saxeville until 1932 when they moved to a farm in the Town of Lind. He lived there until 1950 and then moved to Weyauwega where he lived until his passing. In 1950, he worked for Booth Oil Co. for one year. The company was then purchased by Sinclair and he worked for them until 1962. Elmer then worked for Wagner Cheese Co. as a milk hauler retiring in 1985. He was a member of St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega. He is survived by his wife Florence; children: Dean (Kathy) Oehlke, Abilene, TX; Jeanne Grau, Bloomington, MN; Don (Dee) Oehlke, Waupun; 3 grandsons: Matthew Grau, Burbank, CA; Austin and Eric Oehlke of Waupun. He is further survived by a niece, nephew, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, two sisters: Elna Timm and Ruth Koutsky; brothers-in-law: Marvin Timm and Milo Kowsky; father-in-law Ed Fenske and a son-in-law Richard Grau and other aunts and uncles. The funeral service for Elmer will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Weyauwega with Rev. Dennis Lemke officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Weyauwega. Friends may call directly at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Donations can be made to St. Peter Lutheran's Building on The Rock program.
