Ernest Henry Koeppe, 84, of Waupaca passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026. He was born on February 9, 1942 in La Crosse to Richard and Sophie Koeppe.

He graduated from Central High School in Lacrosse. He proudly served in the Army during the Korean War as an MP. Ernie was a talented musician and played electric bass in several local bands in the Lacrosse area during the 70's and 80's . In his later years, he loved his garden and being outdoors.

He is survived by his Children: Kristy (Drew) Ziemke, of Federal Way, WA and Jason (Jennifer) Koeppe, of Stevensville, MI, Grandchildren: Emma Koeppe of Iron Mountain MI and Evin Koeppe of Bangor, Maine. Along with a Sister: Eleanor (William) Brown; Brother: Donald (Dorothy) Martin and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Richard and Sophie Koeppe; brother Richard Koeppe, brother Otto Martin and sister Hilda Neprud.

A Graveside Service with Military Rites for Ernest will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Central Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in King, Wisconsin.
