Age 92, of Weyauwega, went to her heavenly home on Friday, November 28, 2014 at Lakeview Manor in Weyauwega. She was born on April 8, 1922 in the Town of Royalton, daughter of the late Louis and Emma Bork. On December 12, 1941 she was united in marriage to Bernard Thiel. He preceded her in death in 1994. Evelyn worked for many years as a cook at Bill's Bar in Weyauwega where they were known for their Friday night fish fry's. She loved gardening. She was a member of St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega. She is survived by her son: Ronald (Pat) Thiel, Weyauwega; 3 grandchildren: Melissa Pflum, Appleton; Dr. Jason (Dr. Amy Biehl) Thiel, Maribel; Dana (Douglas) Thiel Roth, Manitowoc; 1 step-grandchild: Amy (Michael) Bynoe, Arkansas; 4 great-grandchildren: Ross, Isaac, Simon, Thea; 2 step-grandchildren: Emma and Madison; a sister-in-law: Verna Thiel, Weyauwega. She is further survived by Bob and Audrey Littlefield, Combined Locks, also other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter Darleen Thiel Littlefield, two grandchildren Tammy and LaWayne, a sister Irene (Malcolm) Woodard, 3 brothers Art, Fred and Wilbur; and a grandson-in-law Nicholas Pflum. A memorial service for Evelyn will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega, with Rev. Dennis Lemke and Rev. Newlin Schafer officiating. Burial will be in Hobart Cemetery, Town of Royalton in the spring. A gathering of family and friends will take place directly at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. The Cline- Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Weyauwega is serving the family. A special thanks to the staff at Lakeview Manor in Weyauwega for their care and concern of Evelyn during her stay there.
