Gerald C. Witterholt

Gerald C. Witterholt, age 77, of Fremont, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Monday, November 17, 2025. He was born on September 25, 1948, in Elkhorn, WI. Gerald married JoAnne (Tank) on October 26, 1974 in Shawano. 

Gerald was a laborer at Neenah Foundry for 25 years and retired in 2004. He loved fishing, hunting, farming, traveling, cheering on the Brewers and the Packers and loved watching his boys and grandchildren play sports. 

He is survived by his wife, JoAnne; sons: Brian, Tod and Dean (Tara) Witterholt; grandchildren: Brayden Witterholt, BreeAnne (Jody) Bartelt, Logan (friend Logan) Witterholt, Dalton (Holly) Witterholt, Isaiah (friend Skylar) Witterholt; great-grandson, Alexander and great-grandson on the way, Raiden; sisters-in-law: Nancy Howe, Yvonne (Garry) McCreary, Crystal Grahan; brother-in-law, Randy (Judy) Tank; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Witterholt; grandparents, Martin and Rosella Witterholt; in-laws, Elmer and Dorothy Tank; numerous aunts and uncles; brothers-in-law: Gary and Bradley Tank; sister-in-law, Donna Bohardt.

The Funeral Mass for Gerald will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Weyauwega with Fr. Kris Mekala officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:00 - 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Weyauwega.
