Gloria Jean Tesch, age 82, of Weyauwega, WI accepted Jesus's invitation for a room in heaven on September 24, 2026. After a week+ filled with special moments, goodbyes and devotions with family and pastor, she passed peacefully on a beautiful fall afternoon at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center in Neenah, WI.

She was born on August 2, 1944, in Rhinelander, WI, to James and Jessie (Sparks) Hazen. Gloria spent most of her childhood and teenage years in Land O' Lakes, Wisconsin, and Watersmeet, Michigan, where she graduated from high school. She later settled in the small central Wisconsin town of Weyauwega, where she met and married her loving husband, Ernie. They shared the same home there for the next 60 years.

Gloria married Ernie C Tesch on April 30, 1966, and then raised 4 children together. Amy (Theodore) Bekx of Waupun, WI, Bruce (Pamela) Tesch of Santa Claus, IN, Tinamarie (David) Albers of Iola, WI and Brian (Sujitra) Tesch also of Weyauwega, WI.

Gloria was a strong-willed, independent woman who fiercely defended her family while showing compassion and kindness to those in need. While raising her children, she worked countless hours in various jobs and still found time to help others by babysitting, teaching about home-care products, baking cakes, and leading the local 4-H club. Her skill at cards, cribbage, and games of all kinds-along with her "lucky horseshoe" at bingo-was well known among family, friends, and her bingo community. Yet her competitive spirit was surpassed only by her love for her family, especially the many grandchildren and great-grandchildren she cherished and doted on without reservation. She loved Jesus Christ, remained devoted to her faith until her final breath, and was a longtime member of St. Peter Lutheran Evangelical Church in Weyauwega, Wisconsin.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, 11 of 12 siblings & their spouses, 1 grandchild, Christina Bekx, and many of her dearest friends and extended family members.

She is survived by her husband, 4 children & their spouses, 1 brother, Kim (Gwen) Hazen of Green Bay, WI, her many grand/great grandchildren, her in-laws, nieces & nephews.

A woman of simple wishes, Gloria requested a graveside service, with her cremains to be interred at Concordia Cemetery in West Bloomfield. Because of Ernie's illness, the service date will be determined later.

In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations be given to St. Peter Lutheran School in memoriam to her, where Gloria sent each of her children to learn about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
