Gordon "Bud" Kadolph

Gordon (Bud) Kadolph, age 97, left this world on September 2, 2025, to join his recently passed beloved wife Sharon, and his daughter Joni. He was born on November 18, 1927, in Weyauwega. He and his seven siblings were born to John and Edna Kadolph. Bud graduated from Weyauwega High School in 1946. He was involved in sports from the time he was old enough to participate. In high school he excelled in football, basketball, and baseball, receiving many honors and awards during those years. He continued his involvement after high school and played basketball while attending Ripon College. He also played multiple years with the Weyauwega Chiefs (basketball), and the city baseball team that eventually won the state championship.

In 1953 he married Sharon Schroeder of New London, and together they had five children. Bud sold insurance for American Family Insurance and also drove a delivery truck for the Weyauwega Cleaners. In 1973 he and Sharon, along with their three youngest children, moved to Prescott, Arizona and bought a motel. He loved being a business owner, meeting new people from all walks of life.

He is survived by four of his five children: Kim Andrist (Darold) of Dewey, AZ, Becky (Dick) Gerlach of Fountain Hills, AZ, Todd (Karrie) Kadolph of Fremont, WI, and Bart (Linda) Kadolph of Hamilton, MT, son-in-law Peter Sherwood of New Market, AL, nine grandsons, four granddaughters, numerous nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sharon, and daughter, Joni Sherwood.

A celebration of life for both Bud and Sharon will be held at the Dahlke Life Celebration Center in Weyauwega on Monday, October 6, 2025, from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m.
