Gordon Gerald Rosenau, age 80, of Manawa, passed away on November 5th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 30th, 1945, to Clarence E. Rosenau and Dorothy E. (Voss) Rosenau. Gordon lived a life defined by unwavering dedication, spirited resolve, and a mischievous heart.
Gordon was a man of immense strength that never backed down from a challenge. A bold, spirited man who believed that on the farm, there was no such thing as a day off - vacations were for other folks. His hands bore the marks of a lifetime's labor, and his days were measured by the rhythm of chores, the care of animals, and the changing seasons. Yet beneath his stubborn exterior was a feisty, soft center - a man whose love for his sons, Steven (Vivian) Rosenau and Rick Rosenau, was as steadfast as his work ethic.
He cherished his grandchildren, Megan, Jake, Brayde, and Blake, and found joy in their laughter and adventures. Gordon's gentle sauciness and quick wit brought warmth to his family, and his stories, often delivered with a twinkle in his eye, will be dearly missed.
Gordon is survived by his brother, Ronald Rosenau; his loving sons; his grandchildren; special nieces, Jennifer Rosenau and Kim Rosenau; and many other family and friends who were touched by his hard work, stubborn spirit, and gentle humor.
His legacy is one of resilience, love, and the kind of gentle mischief that makes life on the farm and in the family so memorable.
