Harlan Walter Schellin, age 88, of Scandinavia WI, passed away at Birch Hill Nursing Home on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. Harlan was born on July 16, 1938, to the late Walter and Clara Schellin. He graduated from New London High School and served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. On December 5, 1959, he married Barbara Miller. They raised four children together. Harlan worked in farming and was a union laborer. He was a dedicated member and servant of First Lutheran Church in Ogdensburg. Harlan had a passion for coon hunting, raising Blue Tick Hounds and later Beagles. He took several trips out to Custer State Park with his horse, Sandy, and at times was accompanied by his son Brad and friends, Ken and Jill. Barbara preceded him in death in June of 2011. On May 26, 2012, he married Donna Mundt. He was a member of the Fox River Beagle Club and an avid reader. As his vision declined to blindness, he continued to listen to numerous books on tape. He remained a passionate fan of both the Packers and the Brewers. Harlan also enjoyed many home cooked meals, sweet treats, listening to polka music, and going out for fish.
Harlan is survived by his wife Donna, his children Scott (Debbie) Schellin, Brad (Julie) Schellin, Darren Schellin, Kris Cady Schellin (Mike), step-children Jennifer (Francisco) Anpara, David (Barb) Mundt, grandchildren Jessica Pionek, Rhonda (Louie) Chick, Hunter (Allie) Schellin, Emily (Shaze) Malave, Noah Schellin, Tanner Schellin, Tyler Schellin, Dustin (Amy) Cady, James (Amber Rose) Cady, 13 great great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, sisters Gay (Ted) Bemis, Ellie Griffin; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 23, 2026, at First Lutheran Church in Ogdensburg, with Pastor Mary M. Bope officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
The family would like to thank everyone who cared for and supported Harlan throughout his life, his good friends Russell and Nancy Danke, who continued to visit and go out for dinner, the wonderful staff at Birch Hill Health Services, and Compassus Hospice Care.
