Harold W. Prill

November 1, 1941 — January 18, 2011

Age 94, of Manawa, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, at the Manawa Community Nursing Center. He was born in the Town of Union, son of the late Edward and Amelia (Heideman) Prill. On November 1, 1941, he was united in marriage to Irma Schramm at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Symco. They had 69 wonderful years together. Harold and Irma farmed in the Town of Union for many years, earning numerous awards from Morning Glory. He also drove school bus for the Manawa School District for many years. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church where he served as an elder and also was in the Men's Club. He enjoyed playing sheepshead with his friends, but most of all he liked spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Irma; daughter Janice (Leonard) Much, Neenah; son, John (Carol) Prill, Bear Creek; grandchildren: Kevin Much, Julie (Josh) Burmeister who are expecting the first great-grandchild in the near future, Lori Much, Stephanie (Joe) Lowney and Samantha Prill. Harold is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and four sisters. The funeral service for Harold will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Symco with Rev. Jeffrey Smiles officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, in the Town of Union in the spring. Friends may call directly at the church on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Harold's family would like to thank the staff at the Manawa Community Nursing Center for their care and concern of Harold the past two years.
