Harton H. Stiebs, age 74, of Manawa, died on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Iola Living Assistance. He was born on May 28, 1944 in New London, son of the late Herman and Palma (Diemel) Stiebs. Harton attended schools in the Manawa School District. He helped his father on the farm for many years. He also owned and operated a bait business until he couldn’t run it anymore because of poor health. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping and going to the casino.
He is survived by his siblings: Janette Hines, Marlene (Wayne) Wilcox, and Larry Stiebs. He is further survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Melroy, Edward, Leroy and Milford.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, March 29, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa. Burial will be in Little Wolf Cemetery, Town of Little Wolf.
