Helen Andrick of Weyauwega, age 90, died Friday October 19, 2007 at the Weyauwega Health Care Center. Helen was born July 31, 1917, daughter of the late Nicklaus and Ursulie (Boiorina) Poshkus, in a Lithuanian immigrant community in Rockford Illinois. She married John Andrick on December 2, 1939 in Rockford Il. He preceded her in death September 15, 2001. In 1950 they bought a farmstead in Baldwin Mills just outside of Weyauwega. Helen greeted tax clients and did bookkeeping at Tom Bennett's CPA office in downtown Weyauwega for many years until she retired in her late 70's. Helen cared for her elderly mother-in-law, Anna Andrick, until, at age 96, Anna entered a nursing home. After her husband's stroke, Helen drove daily to Weyauwega Health Care Center to have lunch with John. She became a resident of the Weyauwega Health Care Center in December of 2000. Helen loved children. She greeted them at the tax office with candy – she became be an adopted grandma to the children at the Scott and Donna Allenstein household. Helen was a dedicated friend, a sweet-spirited woman - gracious and thankful for small favors. She enjoyed the activities and the caring staff at the Weyauwega Health Care Center. She will be missed by those who felt like her family, especially the Allenstein family, Kitti Baldwin and the Peters family. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, her mother-in-law, and her brother. The funeral service for Helen will be held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday October 23, 2007 at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Weyauwega with Rev. Barry Hoerz officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorials may directed to the Weyauwega Health Care Center. A special thank you to the caregivers and staff at the Weyauwega Health Care Center.
