Age 76, of Ogdensburg, died suddenly on Monday, September 4, 2006 at his residence. Herman was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 23, 1930 son of the late Wilbur & Pearl (Clark) Henning. He was raised in Tomahawk. Herman proudly served his country with the U.S. Marine Corps, serving 8 years during the Korean War stationed in Hawaii. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening. He rode in the rodeos and loved a tough horse and the "Duke". Herman "Backed the Pack" and was a truly talented leather craftsman. He is survived by his dear wife: Juanita "Kathy" Henning, Ogdensburg; daughters: Theresa (James) Baker, Marsailles, IL., Melissa (Michael) Friday, Ogdensburg; sons: Ralph Henning, Joliet. IL.; Robert (Siriporn) Henning, Joliet, IL.; William Gibson, Rutlidge, TN.; Thomas Gibson, Joliet, IL.; George Gibson, Joliet, IL.; 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, a sister and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. The funeral service that will celebrate Herman's life will be held on Friday, September 8, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa with Rev. Patrick Rausch officiating. Burial will be at Wisconsin Veteran's Cemetery in King with full military honors. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, September 7, 2006 from 5-8 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
