Isiah J. Schuh

Isiah Jonathan Schuh, 21, passed away unexpectedly on September 13, 2026 in a tragic car accident. He was born on June 22, 2005, in Appleton, Wisconsin, to his loving parents, Jonathan and Emily Schuh. Though his life was far too short, it was filled with adventure, joy, friendship, and a genuine appreciation for every moment.

Isiah attended Little Chute Elementary and Middle School before graduating from Weyauwega-Fremont High School with the Class of 2023. During his school years, he was known for his determination, athleticism, and the meaningful friendships he formed. He participated in pole vault, cross country, wrestling, and the fishing team. Whether competing, encouraging his teammates, or simply spending time with friends, Isiah gave everything he had and inspired those around him.

After high school, Isiah attended Garden City Community College in Garden City, Kansas, where he studied welding on a pole vault scholarship and came home a bull rider. He embraced the cowboy lifestyle he had grown to love. Often seen in his cowboy boots, Isiah lived with courage, confidence, and an adventurous spirit. Although Isiah had tried many positions in the field of welding, he found Heavy Highway Bridge Construction with Phieffer Brothers the challenge he was looking for.

Isiah had a remarkable ability to light up a room the moment he walked in. His smile was unforgettable, genuine, contagious and larger than life itself! He made everyone feel welcome, and his positive outlook on life rarely wavered. He approached each day with optimism, appreciated the simple blessings others might overlook, and found joy in the people and experiences around him.

An avid outdoorsman, Isiah loved and respected nature. He found both peace and excitement in fishing, duck, goose, deer, and turkey hunting. Whether he was on the water, in the woods, gathered around a bonfire with friends, or beneath an open sky, he felt most at home outdoors.

Isiah was an adrenaline junkie through and through. From jumping off roofs and bridges to soaring over a 14-foot pole vault bar to riding bulls and demo derbies, he was always ready for his next adventure. Fear rarely stood in his way; instead, he met each challenge with determination and enthusiasm.

A loyal friend and natural mentor for youths discovering the outdoors, Isiah genuinely enjoyed being around people. He loved spending time with family and friends, attending rodeos, going to his uncle's cabin, wakeboarding, traveling and creating memories that would last a lifetime. His kindness, encouragement, and infectious energy left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Isiah also enjoyed life's simple comforts. He never turned down a plate of green bean casserole or spaghetti, and he treasured sharing meals, stories, and laughter with family and friends.

More than anything, Isiah was a lover of life. He lived fully, laughed freely, and loved deeply. Through the way he lived, he reminded those around him to slow down, appreciate nature, embrace adventure, and make the most of every day. His radiant smile, fearless spirit, and generous heart will remain forever in the memories of all who knew and loved him.

Isiah was preceded in death by Grandpa James Schuh, Grandpa Gary Van Straten, Grandma Elizabeth Young, Cousins; Donald Young IV, Brockman Jones, Mathew Raspotnik, Jenny Van Schyndel.

He leaves behind his loving parents, Jonathan and Emily Schuh; his beloved sister, Payten Schuh; his grandparents, Rose Mary Schuh, Donald Young Jr.; along with countless aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, teammates, classmates, and all whose lives were made brighter by knowing him. Though his time on earth was brief, Isiah's impact was immeasurable. His legacy is one of joy, courage, friendship, and a life lived without hesitation. His smile will continue to shine in the hearts of all who loved him, and his adventurous spirit will never be forgotten.

A Celebration of Life for Isiah will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the Dahlke Life Celebration Center (101 E. Main St., Weyauwega, WI). There will not be a formal service, but during that time there will be an open mic for family and friends to share their memories of Isiah. His youth minister will close the celebration with a prayer at 3:00 p.m. Western or Camo attire is preferred to honor Isiah's passions.
