He enjoyed playing golf, watching football, fishing, and especially talking and joking with friends and family. He also enjoyed playing the slot machines. He was known as "Pretty Grandpa" to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his children Donald Flynn, Waupaca; Tena (Russ) Dennis, Manawa; Leonard (Stephanie) Flynn, Manawa; James P. Flynn and his fiancé Jenny Stilen, Huntersville, NC; his grandchildren Jessica (Allen) Rosenow; Rebecca Drummond; Erica Dennis; Colt Flynn; Malakai Flynn; Drew, Aiden and Lance Flynn; great-grandchildren Tate and Hudson Drummond; brothers Donald (Jean) Flynn, Sugar Grove, IL; and Jack (Bev) Flynn, Ogdensburg; brothers-in-law Stanley (Cencio) Dain; Tom Dain and special friend, Wanda; David Dain and special friend, Jane; Gary (Bonnie) Dain; Craig Dain; sisters-in-law Wanda (Leroy) Kuhnke; and many nieces, nephews and friends that survive him. His wife Nancy Flynn; parents Mickey Flynn and Pauline Sharp; father-in-law Kenneth Dain and mother-in-law Jeanne Dain; brothers-in-law Kenneth Jr. and Rex Dain preceded him in death. The funeral service for Jim will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa with Rev. Vilas Mazemke officiating. Burial will be in Ogdensburg Park Cemetery. A visitation for James will be held directly at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. The family would like to express special thanks to the nursing staff at AMC for all the exceptional care they gave Dad in his time of need.
