John C. Kluender

Age 67, Little Chute, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, January 27, 2011. John was born on January 10, 1944, in Merrill, WI, son of the late Elmer and Dorothy (Robl) Kluender. On September 21, 1974, he was united in marriage to Lou Ann Olson at Christ Ev. Lutheran Church in West Bloomfield. John worked for Zaugs Vending in Appleton for 30 years, retiring in 2006. He was an active member of the Teamsters Local 563. John's greatest joys in his life were his daughter, Michelle "#1 Babes" and his granddaughter, Riley. He is survived by his wife, Lou Ann; daughter, Michelle (Michael) Bobusch, and their daughter, Riley, Greenville; two brothers, Butch Kluender and Mark Kluender, both of Waupaca; four sisters: JoAnn (Kenneth) Jensen, Beaver Dam; Delores (Lawrence) Hoppe, Oshkosh; Arlene Robl, Oshkosh; and Mary Bandt, Wausau. Brother and Sister in-laws, Connie (John) Hoffman, Ogdensburg; Douglas (Suzanne) Olson, Waupaca; Jeff (Kim) Olson, Waupaca; and Greg (Krista) Olson, Stevens Point. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers: Robert, Harold, Jim and Gary. Funeral services for John will be held on Monday, January 31, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church, Appleton with Rev. Mark Henke and Rev. Darin Aiden officiating. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Greenville. Visitation will be held at the church Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Affinity Hospice and Brightstar for their loving care and support.
