John H. Jonely

John H. Jonely, age 84, of Weyauwega, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, September 27, 2026. He was born on January 22, 1942 in New London, WI, son of the late Harvey and Irene (Regel) Jonely.

John graduated in 1959 from Weyauwega-Fremont High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, being stationed in Germany. On October 20, 1967, he was united in marriage to Karalee Suzie Zietlow at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Weyauwega.

John worked at Seven-Up Bottling Co., Baers Beverage Co., and drove bus for 20 years for the city of Appleton. He enjoyed traveling, bowling, hunting - especially in Colorado, fishing and just being in the outdoors. John was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Weyauwega.

He is survived by his wife, Karalee; sons: Andrew (Londa) J. Jonely, Mark Jonely; grandchildren: Brandon and Krystin Jonely; siblings: William (Kathe) Jonely, Thomas (Genevieve) Jonely, Richard (Victoria) Jonely; brother-in-law: Gale (Sandra) Zietlow. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Arthur (Marion) Zietlow; stepmother, Evelyn Jonely; two nephews: Jason Jonely and Jeffery Zietlow.

The Christian Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Weyauwega with Rev. Aaron Kristopeit officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the church on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be directed to St. Peter Lutheran Church or the American Heart Association.
