Obituary

Joseph (Joe) Francis Paider, 81, of Weyauwega, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, December 20, 2025. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and faithful friend to many.

Joe will always be remembered for his servant's heart, being quick with a joke, and living life with a mischievous twinkle in his eye. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and talking sports with his nephew Greg Joe. He loved hunting, fishing, and was an avid bowler. He filled his days working in his yard, attending bible study, volunteering at his church, serving at the American Legion, and volunteering with the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Jaycees in his younger years and was always willing to lend a hand whenever needed. But most of all, he loved spending time with friends.

Born March 24, 1944, in Green Bay, WI, Joe grew up on a farm near Luxemburg, WI. In 1957, the family moved to Waupaca, WI where his father became a bowling alley proprietor. He graduated from Waupaca High School in 1962. After high school he served in the National Guard and attended barber school. In 1964, he married his high school sweetheart, Pat (Wagner) before moving to West Allis, WI and later Berlin, WI to work as a barber. In 1967, they moved to Weyauwega where Joe began a 39+ year career at Weyauwega Milk Products (later Agropur) while raising three children. Retiring in 2007, Joe kept himself busy working as the groundskeeper at Oakwood Cemetery in Weyauwega while also dedicating 30 years supporting and guiding many others through AA. In 2017, he and Pat had the privilege of serving as the Royal Couple for Weyauwega's annual Horse & Buggy Days festival. In 2023, Joe was honored as a member of Old Glory Honor Flight #65 to Washington DC for his service in the National Guard.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Pat; children: Tim (Dorothy) Paider, Tom (Michelle) Paider, and Sarah (John) Mueller; grandchildren: Jessica (Casey) Kitching, Brenda (Michael) Rademacher, Jonah Paider, Matt (Mady) Paider, Luke Paider, Seth Paider, Jake Paider, Lily (Ben) Mineau, John Mueller Jr., and Charles Mueller; great-grandchildren: Riley & Cameron Kitching, Mercella Mineau, and Vivian Rademacher; siblings: Twin brother John (Ann) Paider, Josie (Herb) Trask, Jim Paider, Jeff (Debbie) Paider, Jerry (Alice) Paider, Jake (Laura) Paider, Jesse (Kathy) Paider; brother-in-law: Richard (Kathy) Wagner; sister-in-law: Candice Eiche.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Carmen (Davister) Paider; in-laws, Harold and Anita (Niemuth) Wagner; sisters-in-law: Mary Ann Paider, Georgette Paider, and Deborah Wagner; brothers-in-law: Thomas Wagner and Jack Eiche.

The family would like to thank his medical team at ThedaCare Waupaca for their amazing job caring for him in his final days and weeks. We are grateful!

A Funeral Mass to celebrate Joe's life will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Weyauwega at 11:00 AM. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00 AM - 10:45 AM.
