Joyce Mary 'Pooh' Kosmerchock

Age 87, of Manawa, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2014 at St. Joseph Residence in New London following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on February 8, 1927 in Manawa, daughter of the late Frank and Gladys (Guerin) Kosmerchock. Joyce worked at AFC Offices in Manawa for many years retiring at a young age of 56. During retirement, Joyce enjoyed the game of golf in the summertime and bowling in the winter. She was on leagues for both. She traveled many golf courses and bowling alleys all over the United States. Joyce was a lifetime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manawa. She was a volunteer for many church activities, and the Food Pantry in Manawa. She is survived by her brother-in-law: Oscar Hoffman; and sister-in-law Jerry Kosmerchock. She is further survived by 22 nieces and nephews, many great and great-great nieces and nephews and also many friends. Joyce was no stranger to any of these, always trying to participate in all family gatherings. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by all her siblings: LaVern Kosmerchock, Lorraine Lenard, Mayford Kosmerchock, June Hoffman, Victor Kosmerchock, Ruth Librizzi, and nephew Richard Lenard. The Funeral Mass for Joyce will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manawa with Fr. Amalraj Roche officiating. Burial will be in Little Wolf Cemetery in the Town of Little Wolf. A visitation for Joyce will be held directly at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph Residence in New London for the wonderful care Joyce received. A special thanks to Lindsey, Kayla, Jazmine, Jennifer and the RN nurses, your care was phenomenal. Mark you are amazing, you were able to keep Joyce's personality going no matter how she felt. We will never forget your care. We were so lucky to have you! Joyce, we all love and miss you! Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same. But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
