Kathryn M. Surma

Age 58, of Manawa, died on Sunday, February 3, 2008 at Appleton Medical Center following a 9 month battle with cancer. She was born on March 22, 1949 in New London, daughter of Ralph & Margaret (Schilling) Levezow. On November 27, 1976, she married Walter Surma in Manawa. Kathryn graduated from Little Wolf High School in 1967. She was a resident of Manawa her entire life. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manawa. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing cards and flower gardening. She also collected angels. She is survived by her husband Wally; her children: Heather Ferg, Manawa; Christopher (Myoshi) Ferg, Waupaca; Jeremy (Jenny) Surma, Wausau; grandchildren: Jessica, Brittany, Tony, Nick, Kaileigh, Christopher, Trista, Jenna, Beau, Shane; and two great-grandchildren: Kaydence and Jaydon; her father: Ralph Levezow, Manawa; brothers: Mark (Cindy) Levezow, Manawa; Mike (Sandy) Levezow, Manawa; Paul Levezow, New London; Brian (June), Levezow, Manawa; Kevin Levezow and his fiancée Kristy, Manawa; a sister: Sue (Ed) Murrow, Manawa; brothers-in-law: Ken (Pam) Surma, Frank (Cindy) Surma; a sister-in-law: Debbie Levezow. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, great- nieces and nephews, godchildren, other relatives and a very special friend Betty Schuelke. She was preceded in death by her mother Margaret and a special aunt Yvonne Levezow. The Funeral Mass for Kathryn will be held on Wednesday February 6, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manawa with Fr. Bert Samsa OFM Cap officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home on Tuesday February 5, 2008 from 4-8 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
