Lucille E. Drath

August 18, 1930 — January 3, 2011

Age 80, of Manawa, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 3, 2011, at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca. She was born August 18, 1930, in the Town of Union, daughter of the late Arthur and Hilda (Bartel) Pietz. On October 30, 1948, she married Ordell Drath. He preceded her in death in 1995. Lucille drove school bus for the Manawa School District for over 30 years. She was the site manager for the Manawa Senior Center for many years. She was well known in the Manawa area for making wedding cakes. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Symco. She is survived by four daughters: Nancy (Richard) Cummings, Waupaca; Betty (Dennis) Hill, Holland, Michigan; Susan Reince, Plover; Cynthia Drath, Weyauwega; two sons: John (Joyce) Drath, Menasha; Mark (Carla) Drath, Reedsville; fifteen grandchildren: Roberta (Mark) Erwin, Gordon Meyer, Kenneth T. Cook and special friend Missy, Adam (Jess) Cummings, Linda Cummings and fiancé Mark Schuelke, and Lindsay Cummings and special friend Jason, Jeremy Hill, Jessika (Ezequiel) Rodriguez, Marie (Pat) Quimby, Renee Reince and special friend Rob, Brian Reince and special friend Heidi, Anthony (Krista) Reince, Christina (Josh) Pierce, Cathlene Spiegelberg and Jacob Drath; six great-grandchildren: Thomas, Mason, Abby, Keegan, Riley and Easton; two sisters: Margaret Pietz, Clintonville; Alice (Duane "Bud") Bartel, Ogdensburg; sisters-in-law Anita Drath, Manawa; Lucille Pietz, Clintonville; brother-in-law Luvern Wartner, Rosendale. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter Judith Cook, sister Gertrude Wartner, and a brother Norman "Shorty" Pietz and a son-in-law Paul Reince. The funeral service for Lucille will be held on Friday, January 7, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Symco with Rev. Jeffrey Smiles officiating. Burial will be in Little Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
