Lucille Ellen "Lucy" Hahn (née Krause), age 99, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2026, in Manawa, Wisconsin. Born on March 26, 1927, in Manawa, Lucy spent nearly a century as a cherished member of her community. Lucille was united in marriage to Leonard “Butch” Hahn. He preceded her in death on October 10, 1980.
Lucy dedicated much of her life to her work and faith. Showing her journalistic side, she held positions at the Iola Herald and the Appleton Post-Crescent, submitting articles and her own photography. She then worked at Lindsey & Johns until her retirement. Coming out of retirement, she served as the secretary for St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa for 20 years. A lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Lucy’s connection to her faith was the cornerstone of her life.

She was predeceased by her husband Butch, parents: Carl and Dessie Krause; three brothers; five sisters; grandsons: Lee Wagner, Jason Moran, and Mason Paulson; and son-in-law, Don Schamber.
Lucy had a zest for life that shone through in everything she did. Known for being spunky and speaking her mind with candor and humor, she brought joy to those around her. She enjoyed bowling, which included her love of travel to many states and national tournaments; knitting and crocheting beautiful creations for loved ones; tending to her garden with care and pride; and taking her daily 2-mile walk that allowed her to appreciate God's beauty and creations.
Her legacy is one of love for family and community. Lucy’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
