Lyle Frechette

March 7, 1939 — September 26, 2006

Age 67, of Weyauwega, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 following a courageous battle with Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS) at Bethany Home in Waupaca. He was born on March 7, 1939 in Keshena, son of the late Bernard & LaVerne (Pleshek) Frechette. On July 18, 1994, he married Patricia Claassen in Waupaca. He graduated from Weyauwega-Fremont High School with the class of 1957. Lyle served his country with the U. S. Marine Corps from 1957 – 1960. He worked for Appleton Papers for 36 years, retiring in 1997. Lyle was a charter member of the Kimberly Papermaker Booster Club and was the co-founder and coach of the Cardinal Youth Organization in Kimberly. He was a member of St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Weyauwega. He is survived by his wife Patricia; his children: Robert Frechette, Appleton; Lisa Frechette, Kimberly; Monica Frechette(Chad Leech), Logan, Ohio; Nick (Carrie) Frechette, Stockbridge; Francine Frechette-Williams, Kimberly; Heidi (Jeff) Frechette, Washington D.C.; Daniele Frechette and her fiancé Littlebear Webster, Seymour; and their mother Sandra Frechette; stepchildren: Lynne (Joseph) Richard, Bill Claassen, both of Corallis, MT; Ben (Billie Jean) Claassen, Fremont; grandchildren: Robin Frechette, Stevens Point; Max Frechette, New York City; Nicholas and Oliver Williams, Kimberly; Zen Frechette, Stockbridge; step grandchildren: Maquel Frechette, Mariah and Alex Webster, Morgan Wilson and Reilly Claassen; a sister: Romilda (Dennis) Timm; Weyauwega; a very special brother-in-law; special cousin: Dolly Pleshek, Gresham;uncle: Joe (Gladys) Pleshek; mother-in-law: Elnora Schroeder; brother and sisters-in-law: Sandra Akey, Waupaca; Fred (Verdell) Schroeder, Billings, MT; Dick (Gwynn) Schroeder, Waupaca; Wayne (Gloria) King, Bristol; Jack (Marlene) Mielke, Oshkosh; Lyle (Sharon) Rutter, Dodge City, KS; Raymond (Sandra) Claassen, Waupaca; Willy Schroeder, Weyauwega; special friends Marty and Joan Conrad; all his bear and deer hunting buddies, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Mark Akey, nephews Ryan Akey and Tom Timm, a step-son Mark Claassen, and special cousin Ron Pleshek. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for Theda Care at Home Hospice. The Funeral Mass that will celebrate Lyle's life will be held on Friday, September 29, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Weyauwega with Fr. Bertin Samsa OFM Cap officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Weyauwega. Friends may call directly at the church on Friday from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the service. The family would like to thank the staff at Bethany Home and Theda Care at Home Hospice for their care and concern of Lyle.
