Martin 'Mike' L. Schuelke

Age 76, of Weyauwega, died on Friday, May 17, 2013 at Appleton Medical Center. He was born on August 16, 1936 in Almond, son of the late Emil and Edith (Nowak) Schuelke. On May 6, 1972 he was united in marriage to Ellen "Pat" Hanes-Stilen at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa. He graduated from Little Wolf High School, Manawa. He worked at Hillshire Farm in New London for 42 years. Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He enjoyed raising White face cattle on Small farm. His grandchildren were important to him and he loved spending time with them. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Baldwins Mill. He is survived by his wife Pat; four sons: Bart (Wendy) Schuelke, Fremont; Wade Stilen, Waupaca; Chad (Barb) Stilen, Weyauwega; Troy (Katye) Stilen, Wild Rose; grandchildren: Nyke Stilen, Tad Stilen, Nyckol Stilen, Deziree Stilen, Brennon Buck, Levi Stilen, Jaeden Stilen, Hannah Schuelke, Sophia Schuelke, Landon Stilen and Sawyer Schuelke; sisters: Arlene Roland, Mildred (Harlon) Loken, Delores (LeRoy) Armon; sisters-in-law: Audrey Schuelke and Janice Schuelke; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers; Gordon and Maynard, also a sister Irene Riesenberg. The funeral service for Martin will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church (N3882 County Highway KK) Weyauwega, with Rev. Roger Nielsen officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Lanark. A visitation for Martin will be held directly at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
