Mary's Funeral Mass Video

Mary Ellen Gain, age 87 of Weyauwega, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Bethany Home in Waupaca. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on August 31, 1935, daughter of the late Kirwin and Katherine (Kelly) Williams. Mary grew up in Nashville, TN and also Little Rock, AR. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in Little Rock, AR in 1953. On November 28, 1957, she was united in marriage to William Gain in Little Rock, AR. They moved to Racine, WI in 1958 until 1976. In 1977, they moved to Weyauwega, WI. Mary was very active at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Weyauwega and was a member of the St. Anne Society.

She is survived by her son: John (Kerry) Gain, Waupaca; grandchildren: Vincent and Tyler Gain, Cameron Wentzel, Adalyn Gain, Heidi (Brandon) Trzebiatowski and Christina Gain; great-grandchildren: Anderson and Margaret. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William; son Patrick; and sisters: Katherine Billings, Patricia Gault and Susan Hayes.

The Funeral Mass for Mary will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Weyauwega with Fr. Matthew Rappl officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega. A visitation for Mary will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
