Maryllis E. Hensel

Age 83, of Waupaca, formerly of the Symco area, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Bethany Home in Waupaca. She was born on October 12, 1931 in Waupaca County, daughter of the late Albert and Inez (Kreklow) Rineck. Maryllis graduated from Little Wolf High School in Manawa in 1949. In June, 1953, she was united in marriage to Arlyn Joch and they made their home on a farm in Symco. They then moved to Butte des morts in the late 1960's. In 1973, Arlyn passed away at the age of 42 of cancer. In 1981, she then married Walter Hensel. Together they traveled to many places all over the world including China, England, Germany, Holland, Poland, Brazil, Israel to visit the Holy Land, and her favorite Hawaii. She enjoyed her dogs, and had a great love for shopping, and buying things she really didn't need to begin with. She always had to have her favorite treat which was any kind of cookie. She is survived by her siblings: Mavis Genz, Oshkosh; Junior (Carolyn) Rineck, Pickerel; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Verlyn (Sandy) Joch, Neenah; Ardelle Steffes, Chilton; Darlene (Frank) Bork, Winchester. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, Arlyn and Walter, brother s-in-law and sisters-in-law: Clifford Genz, Marvin (Mary Lou) Joch, Orville (Pat) Joch and Fred Steffes. A memorial service will be held at a later date. A special thanks to all of the wonderful caregivers at Bethany Home, for their care and concern of Maryllis. May God bless every one of you!
