IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nancy G.
Meidl
September 27, 1952 – December 12, 2025
Nancy Gladys Meidl (née Gilbertson), age 73, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer that lasted many years. Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, free from pain, and finally able to rest.
Nancy was born on September 27, 1952 in Stevens Point, WI, to Marguerite (Mittelstaedt) and Nathan Gilbertson. She grew up alongside her sisters, Gloria "Jeannie" Gingle and Patricia "Patty" Robinson, with whom she shared a close and lifelong bond. Nancy enjoyed gardening, baking, and spending time with family and friends.
On February 5, 1972, at the age of 19, Nancy married John Charles Meidl in Weyauwega, Wisconsin. Together they built a life rooted in love, commitment, and family. They were blessed with two sons, Daniel James Meidl and Michael Charles Meidl. Nancy took great pride in being a grandmother to Alex and Devin Meidl, whom she adored.
Nancy touched the lives of so many through her kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family. Her warmth, compassion, and quiet resilience will never be forgotten. While she will be deeply missed, the legacy of love she leaves behind will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Jack "John" Meidl; her sons, Daniel Meidl (Jaclyn Batley) and Michael (Kelly) Meidl; her cherished grandsons, Devin and Alex (Jessica Velie); her sisters, Gloria "Jeannie" Gingle (husband Jerry Rozner) and Patricia "Patty" (husband Mark) Robinson; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathan and Marguerite Gilbertson.
