Age 76, Manawa, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at U. W. Madison Hospital. He was born on December 23, 1932 in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Paul and Ella (Ahrens) Kamke. Paul married Geraldine Boodry on June 30, 1951 in Manawa. They were married 26 years. He then married Lois Anita Berg on September 20, 1980 in Manawa; they were married for 29 years. Paul had started and ran many business ventures in New London and Manawa. His last being Kam-Art Industry, Inc.; in 1971 with his family. He retired several years ago, but still showed up most mornings. He served on the New London fire Department for six years. Paul loved bowling, gardening and hunting and fishing up-north at our cottage on Pickerel Lake. Paul is survived by his 1st wife, Geraldine; his children: Greg (LuAnn) Kamke, Rick (Nancy) Kamke and Cindy (Elmer) Keller; grandchildren: Tracy Kamke, Chad (Brooke) Kamke, Kim (Jeremiah) Auer, Kelly (Kris) Carew, Rickie Kamke Jr. and Jonathan Kamke. He is further survived by his 2nd wife Lois; her children, Linda Hollis, and Carol Soldo; grandchildren: Wendy (Scott) Burrows; Angie Hollis (special friend Karen), Sue Ann (Dean) Berg, Warren Soldo, Ryan Soldo and Ross Soldo. Ten great grandchildren: Jeremaiah, Jr., Grace, Anna, Reese, Brandon, Conner, Jacob, Madeline, Hailey and Hayden, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents, Paul is preceded in death by an infant sister Vivian Ruth, and in-laws, Leonard (Margaret) Boodry and Einert (Evelene) Berg. Funeral services for Paul will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Manawa with Rev. Vilas Mazemke officiating. Burial will be in the Little Wolf Cemetery, Town of Little Wolf. Family and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home on Friday, April 24, 2009 and also at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established.
