During this time he also made mantle clocks for the other six grandchildren, china hutches, curio cabinets, hope chests, a roll-top desk and other wood projects including a communion table for St. Peter Lutheran Church, also a scale model of the church, and restoration of an antique wooden horse-drawn fire wagon for the local fire department. He was blessed with two sons, Russell R., Weyauwega; and Gary C. (Gloria), Waupaca who survive.
