Raymond J. Schalkowski

June 6, 1926 — December 15, 2016

Raymond Schalkowski, age 90, of Weyauwega, died on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at ThedaCare Hospital in Waupaca. He was born on June 26, 1926 to the late Frank and Helen (Koskie) Schalkowski in Chicago, Il. Ray was united in marriage to Lorraine Guzior on November 22, 1947 in Schiller Park, IL. She preceded him in death in 2013. He was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Weyauwega.

Raymond is survived by his daughters, Loray McKerr and Sherry Schalkowski; sons, Leslie (Sue) Schalkowski and Ray (Kelly) Schalkowski; grandchildren, Carrie (Keith) Emrikson, Becky (Keith) Loehrke, Julie (Erik) Ekstrom, Jessica Schalkowski, Lesley Ann (Brian) Baehmen, Casey (Becca) Schalkowski, Dustin McDaniel Schalkowski, Joseph Schalkowski, Raelyn Schalkowski and Michael Schalkowski; step-granddaughter, Tina Jansen; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Katie, Ashley, and Alex Loehrke, Ava, Quinn and Roman Baehman, Andrew and Jacob Ekstrom; step-great-grandchildren, Lexi and Samantha Smith; sisters, Lois Grote and Thelma LaTurno and many other loving family members and friends.

Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, wife and brother, Albert.

The Funeral Mass for Ray will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Weyauwega with Fr. Xavier Santiago officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Weyauwega. A visitation for Ray will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016 from 4-7 p.m. at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Weyauwega and on Tuesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
