April 24, 1935 — June 15, 2007

Age 72, passed away peacefully, Friday morning, June 15, 2007 at Appleton Medical Center surrounded by his dearly loved wife Sharon and their children. He was born in Los Angeles, CA on April 24, 1935 to the late Chester and Dorothy (Algiers) Peterson. Bob was a graduate of New London High School and UW Stevens Point, before serving two years in the Army. He married the love of his life Sharon in 1958. Of their 49 years of marriage, 35 were spent as the owners and operators of Don's Supper Club in New London. Bob touched the lives of many with his ability to make everyone feel important. He loved people and the outdoors. Fishing and hunting were as much a part of his life as bartending. Semi-retired for his last four years, he particularly enjoyed going after the birds with his Springer Spaniel, Gus. He will forever remain in the hearts of many, remembered for his gentle ways and kind treatment of his fellow man. He will be missed. He is survived by his wife Sharon; his children: Betsy (Dave) Fagen, Madison; Hans (Dina) Peterson, Indianapolis, IN; Marta Peterson, Hong Kong; Karl Peterson, New London; a sister Jan (Glen) Pankow, Suring. Three grandchildren: Jamie Winn and Eric and Andrew Peterson. He is further survived by many other relatives, friends and Gus (his dog), Supper Club Parking Lot. Besides his parents, Bob is preceded in death by a step-father Ted Algiers. Funeral Mass for Bob will be held on Monday, June 18, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London with Fr. David Lewis officiating. Military Rites will be held following the service at chuch. Friends may call at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home on Sunday from 4-8 p.m., where a 7:30 prayer service will be held. Friends may also call directly at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
