Robert W. Rumm, age 85 joined the Lord and his wife of 38 years, Gladys Preuss-Rumm on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette. Bob was born on December 29, 1928 to Emily and Henry Rumm of Milwaukee. At age eight, Bob began learning the jewelry trade from his grandfather, Henry Zwengel, of Zwengel Fine Jewelry of Milwaukee. After returning to Milwaukee, Bob operated his own jewelry manufacturing business. Bob's working career also included Vice President of Auros Manufacturing, machine design and manufacturing in the Wausau area, as well as Paper Converting Machine Co. of Green Bay, from where he retired in 1984. Bob and Gladys enjoyed traveling in their motor-home before making their home in Peshtigo in 1994. Gladys preceded Bob in death in 2001. Bob always enjoyed his family and friends, the Brewers, the Packers, and good conversation over a cold beer. He is survived by three step-children: Scott (Iris) Durrant, Ringle; Sandra Mizorek, Buckeye, AZ; Ilona Johnston, Phoenix, AZ; also grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Per Bob's wishes, a private service will be held. Burial will be held at Union Cemetery in Symco. Military honors will be held. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Bay Area Medical Center, and the Cancer Research Center.
