Roger Steinbach, of Manawa, age 85, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025. He was born in Iola, WI on October 12, 1939, to the late Arthur and Celia Steinbach. He graduated from Little Wolf High School and married Colleen (Otten) in 1961.
Roger was a country boy at heart. He loved the farming life, owning his own farm for 64 years. Farming always kept him busy. In his spare time, he loved to go fishing, hunting and working in the woods. He loved spending time with his family and telling his farming stories.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 64 years, Colleen; children: Connie (Don) Larson, Cynthia (Paul) Hurlburt, David Steinbach, John (Dina) Steinbach; grandchildren: Jenna (Nick) Dain, Ryan (Samantha) Larson, Charles (Alexandria) Larson, Cody Steinbach, Jesse Steinbach, Justin Steinbach, Tommy Steinbach; 7 great grandchildren: Autumn, Dixie, Carter, Peyton, Elliott, Isaac, Tori; in-laws: June Otten, Donna Guyette, Douglas Otten, Russell Otten, Janet (Dennis) Crain, Arlyne (Rick) Menting, Beverly Otten, Sharon Dey. He is further survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant son, Peter Timothy Steinbach, many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Roger will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Symco at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jeffrey Smiles officiating. A visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 - 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Town of Union.
