Ruth A. Clifton

Ruth Ann Clifton, age 85, of Manawa, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, March 22nd, 2026. She was born in Chicago, IL to Arthur and Ruthann (DeWert) Brown.

On February 20, 1960 she married Doug Clifton. Prior to retiring, Ruth worked in human resources. Doug and Ruth spent much of their time together exploring the islands of Hawaii. Her favorite past times included boating, spending time in the sun gardening, sewing and enjoying all her grandchildren as well as taking in the views of the water from "Doug's Dirt" (the hill at the north end of Bear Lake.)

Ruth will be greatly missed by her daughter, Lorri (Tony) Duerst; son, Dougie Clifton; granddaughters: Jenny Brunges and Amy (Matt) Gile; great-grandchildren: Gidian Brunges, Galilee Brunges and Genesis Brunges; many in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Doug, parents, and brothers: Arthur (Butch) Brown and Terry Brown.

A funeral service for Ruth will be held on Monday, March 30, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at the Dahlke Life Celebration Center in Manawa with Rev. David Goyke officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m.
